1. Scope and Commitment


1.1 This Grievances and Compliance policy explains how you may raise a grievance, complaint, or concern with Hindustan Astro, and how we handle it.


1.2 It forms part of our Terms of Service and is provided in keeping with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. We are committed to addressing every grievance promptly, fairly, and transparently.


2. Grievance and Nodal Officer

3. How to Raise a Grievance


3.1 To raise a grievance, please write to us at contact@hindustanastro.com or legal@hindustanastro.com, and include your full name, your registered email address and mobile number, your order or transaction reference where it applies, a clear description of your concern, any relevant supporting material such as screenshots, and the outcome you are seeking.


3.2 We may ask you for additional information in order to verify and address your request.


4. Acknowledgment and Resolution Timelines


4.1 We acknowledge every grievance within twenty-four (24) hours of receiving it and work to resolve it within thirty (30) days.


5. Content Removal Requests


5.1 If your grievance concerns content on our platform that you believe is unlawful or that infringes your rights, you may report it to our Grievance Officer at legal@hindustanastro.com.


5.2 We will acknowledge such a report within twenty-four (24) hours, and where the content relates to material that exposes private areas of the body, shows nudity or a sexual act, depicts a minor, or is in the nature of impersonation, we will act on it within seventy-two (72) hours, as required under the applicable rules. For other unlawful content, we will act within the time required under the applicable law.


6. Data Protection Grievances


6.1 If your grievance concerns your personal information or the way we process it, you may exercise the rights described in our Privacy Policy by writing to us, and if you are not satisfied with our response you may approach the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with the rights available to you under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.


7. Consumer Rights


7.1 Nothing in this policy removes or limits any right available to you as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and if any provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory right available to you under the applicable law, that right shall prevail to the extent required by law.


8. Good-Faith Grievances


8.1 We ask that grievances be raised in good faith. The submission of knowingly false, fabricated, or misleading complaints may be addressed through the appropriate legal channels, although nothing in this policy restricts lawful consumer complaints, honest feedback, fair criticism, or any right available to you under the applicable law.


9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction


9.1 This policy is governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, having territorial jurisdiction over Zirakpur.


10. Updates


10.1 We may update this policy from time to time, and the updated version will be published on our website, with material changes also noted on our Platform Updates page.
