Return and Refund Policy

1. Scope and Acceptance


1.1 This Return and Refund Policy explains when a refund is and is not available for purchases made on our website, www.hindustanastro.com.


1.2 It forms part of our Terms of Service, is to be read together with our Exchange Policy and our Shipping Policy, and is to be read together with the rights available to you under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. By making any purchase, you confirm that you have read and accepted it.


2. All Sales Final


2.1 All sales made through our website are final. Owing to the personalised nature of our services, and because much of what we offer is delivered immediately or shortly after purchase, all payments for any service or item are non-refundable, except in the limited circumstances set out in this Policy and our Exchange Policy, or where a refund is required under the applicable laws of India.


3. Delivery Timelines


3.1 For your awareness, all physical goods within India are delivered within seven (7) working days, all electronic books are delivered within seven (7) working days, and international physical goods are delivered within thirty (30) days. Working days exclude Sundays and public holidays.


3.2 These timelines apply to physical goods and electronic books only and do not apply to consultations or webinars, which follow the schedule given at the time of booking. The complete delivery terms are set out in our Shipping Policy.


4. No Refund for Delivery Delays or Lost Shipments


4.1 We do not take responsibility for any delay in delivery once an order has been handed to the courier or shipping service. You cannot claim a refund for a late delivery, and you cannot claim a refund where a shipment is lost, held, delayed, or stuck by the courier or shipping service provider for any reason, including a war situation, a lockdown, a cross-border tension, or any other circumstance beyond our reasonable control.


4.2 Where a consultation or webinar is delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled by reason of the health of the astrologer or host, an emergency, a network or technical problem, a government restriction or lockdown, a war situation, or any other circumstance beyond our reasonable control, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule it, and this does not by itself entitle you to a refund except as set out in Clause 6.


5. No Refund for Additional International Shipping Charges


5.1 International shipping is charged in two parts: a standard international shipping fee charged at checkout, and a second variable amount that may apply depending on prevailing pricing and cross-border conditions, which our team will discuss with you after the order is placed and may request you to pay. Once an order is placed, you cannot claim a refund on the ground of this additional international shipping charge, as it is disclosed to you in advance.


6. Damaged or Defective Physical Items


6.1 Where a physical item reaches you in a damaged or defective condition, you may choose either a refund under this Policy or an exchange under our Exchange Policy.


6.2 To make such a claim, you must record a clear, continuous, and unedited video while you open the courier package, showing the sealed package and the damage or defect as it is revealed, because this unboxing video is the evidence on which your claim depends.


6.3 You must send the affected item back to our registered office at 6th Floor, Unit No. 620, Cabin No. 2, Motia Royal Business Park, Ambala Chandigarh Expressway, Zirakpur, SAS Nagar, Punjab — 140603, India, together with your order details and the unboxing video.


6.4 Once we have received the returned item and verified the evidence, we will approve the refund or the exchange. If you are unable to provide a valid and complete unboxing video, your claim may be rejected.


7. Non-Delivery Refund


7.1 A refund is available where a service or item is not delivered to you at all within a period of six (6) months. This applies to consultations, webinars, electronic books, and physical books.


7.2 At the time of booking, and before payment, we give you a scheduled date and time based on the availability and schedule of the assigned astrologer, and you acknowledge and accept that our consultations may be overbooked, with the current waiting position published on our Platform Updates page. The six-month period is counted from the scheduled date given at the time of booking, and not from the date of payment.


7.3 A refund under this Clause is available only where we fail to deliver within that six-month period and where we have not informed you of any delay or revised schedule. If we have informed you of a delay or given you a revised date, a refund under this Clause does not apply.


8. Refund Method and Timeline


8.1 Where a refund is approved, it is processed to the same payment method and the same account used at the time of purchase, and the approved amount is returned to that original source within seven (7) working days after our team approves the refund.


9. Non-Refundable Charges


9.1 A refund covers only the price of the service or item itself. The payment gateway fee, the platform fee, the processing fee, and any applicable Goods and Services Tax or other taxes are not refundable, even after a refund is approved.


9.2 Any customs duties or import charges that we may have paid on your behalf are also not refundable, except to the extent that a refund of them is ordered under the law.


10. Restricted Countries


10.1 We do not currently offer our services or sales to Pakistan or to Bangladesh, and the current list of restricted destinations is published on our Platform Updates page.


10.2 If an order is nevertheless placed from Pakistan or Bangladesh, or from any other restricted destination, and a refund becomes due, we will deduct a penalty of fifty percent (50%) of the order value, together with the service fee, the platform fee, the payment gateway fee, and any applicable Goods and Services Tax or other taxes, all of which are non-refundable, and the remaining balance, if any, will be refunded to the original payment source. The applicable percentages and fees may change from time to time as published on our Platform Updates page.


11. Payment Gateway


11.1 Payments on our website are processed through third-party payment gateways, and we are not responsible for any failure, delay, deduction, or error caused by a payment gateway, a bank, or any other processor. If you experience a payment-related issue, you may contact us at contact@hindustanastro.com, and we will make reasonable efforts to assist you, although final resolution rests with your bank or payment provider.


12. How to Request a Refund


12.1 To make a refund request, or for any question about this Policy, you may write to us at contact@hindustanastro.com, or contact our Grievance Officer, Ivan, at legal@hindustanastro.com or +91-9006006630. We acknowledge every request within twenty-four (24) hours and work to resolve it within thirty (30) days.


13. Statutory Rights


13.1 Nothing in this Policy removes or limits any right that you hold under the laws of India that cannot lawfully be removed or limited, and if any provision of this Policy conflicts with a mandatory consumer right under the applicable law, that right shall prevail to the extent required by law.
